ClassesMarketing strategy, for students on campus and beyond

This page lists the marketing strategy course and points to the notes, syllabi and readings that go with it. The aim is simple: a student should reach any class resource in a couple of clicks.

Current courses

  • Marketing Management II: Marketing Strategy, full time section (course 622).
  • Marketing Management II: Marketing Strategy, west section (course 622).

Both sections work through the same core question: how a firm chooses where to compete and how to win. Cases, discussion and a competitive simulation carry the analysis.

Course material

The supporting material is organised to match the course. It includes the syllabus, session notes, case guides and the datasets used in class exercises.

  • Course outlines that set out the sequence of sessions and the assessment.
  • Session notes that summarise the frameworks used in discussion.
  • Case preparation guides for the cases worked through in class.

The teaching connects directly to the research record: many class examples come from the same studies on price, advertising and retail behaviour.
